Lavender Estate, Crescent Bar, WA.
An arctic blast sweeping the nation in mid-January 2024 delivered a beautiful blanket of snow or ice to much of the Pacific Northwest, coupled with sustained frigid temperatures. Fortunately, most of the lavender cultivars planted in the region can usually tolerate these frosty conditions. We should be able to enjoy the beauty of our shrouded fields without too much worry about unusual rates of plant loss. Here are some of the chilly shots from our regional member farms.
