About the Event
Lavender Distillation Demonstration
Join us for an informative and engaging lavender distillation demonstration where you will:
- Learn the optimal stage for harvesting lavender to create essential oils.
- Participate in the distillation process.
- Take home your own bottle of lavender essential oil and hydrosol from our distillation.
- Distill using both a copper water-sealing alembic still and a column still.
This hands-on experience is perfect for anyone interested in essential oils and the art (and science!) of distillation!
This is a hands-on event. Please wear comfortable clothes, closed-toed shoes, hat and sun protection, and gardening gloves.

Organizer
We are a boutique lavender and flower farm located in the Willamette Valley in West Linn, Oregon. Our farm grows a variety of specialty lavenders for essential oils, fresh & dried bouquets, culinary products and handcrafted aromatics. During the spring season, we offer locally available fresh peonies. Our lavender and flower habitats help support our small apiary of Honeybees that make the sweetest of Honey!
In 2018, after 24 years in the healthcare field, Julie decided to pursue her passion for growing and wellness. Her experiences with patients undergoing cancer diagnoses and treatments reinforced her commitment to clean living and personal well-being. Her science background has shaped our safe, aromatic, all-natural products and guided our dedication to organic and regenerative farming practices. Alongside her husband John and their three adult children, Park Place Perennials blossomed into reality! Today, we take pride in our contribution to our community and the larger lavender industry.
