In 2003 Carol and Charles Tannenbaum opened their small lavender farm in the McKenzie River Valley.  Located ten miles east of Springfield among the pastoral beauty of hazelnut orchards and pastures of grazing cattle and romping horses; the farm adds bright color and sweet aromas to the summer experience of the Valley. Carol has gardened for a lifetime and carries extensive knowledge of all things lavender. Stop by for a visit and also see “Let It Bee”, our chainsaw art sculpture.  The farm proudly produces lavender essential oils that have won numerous Gold, Silver and Bronze awards over the years.  The oils stand up in judging as long as twelve years after distillation!  We grow not just any lavender, but McKenzie River Lavender-quality you can trust!

Lavender varieties in production include Lavandula x intermedia cultivars: ‘Grosso’, ‘Impress Purple’, and ‘Provence’ and Lavandula angustifolia cultivars: ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Royal Velvet’. The farm’s specialty lavender products include: ‘Grosso’ essential oil and hydrosol; handmade lavender soaps, lotion, and body butter; ‘Provence’ dried buds and organza sachets; dried floral bunches of ‘Impress Purple’, ‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Royal Velvet’; colorful ribbon-woven wands; and fresh bouquets in season.  U-Pick is a treat in late June through late July.
